Frequently Asked Questions

Where should we meet?

Addresses and meeting spots are listed individually on each booking torur are sent to your email when you purchase your ticket{s}, but generally the start of points are as follows:

Spooky San Antonio - In the Plaza, directly in front of the Alamo Chapel near

Death and Debauchery - At the Main Plaza Cafe directly in front of the San Fernando Cathedral on the Commerce Street side.

The Heritage History Walk - At Plaza de Armas in front of the Spanish Governor's House, directly behind City Hall.

When should we arrive?

Check-In is 15 minutes prior to the start time of every tour. Tours will  begin right on time as to prevent punctual guests from waiting.

How long is the tour?

Most walking tours last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Times may vary  depending on the size of the group, weather conditions, etc.

Do we need reservations?

Reservations are generally required, as space is limited. You may join a  tour without a reservation, by arriving at the tour start point and  booking with the guide directly. If the tour is at capacity, it will be  necessary that you do not remain and that you book on a tour that is not  yet full.

How far to we walk?

Walking tour distance ranges from 5 blocks to a half mile zigging and  zagging through the historical nooks of downtown San Antonio. There are  places to pause and sit if you need to.

What should we wear?

Comfortable walking shoes such as hiking or tennis shoes are recommended.

Dress comfortably and according to the weather.

What if it's raining?

Each tour will be evaluated individually in the event of rain or other  inclement weather. Your safety is our top priority, and while a little  rain typically won't cancel a tour, we encourage you to call us if you  have any questions.

In the event of a cancellation, we will notify you  via email or phone so please make sure that we have our correct contact information.

Please note that rain may cause the tour to slow  down as we take shelter in haunted hotels or historical buildings.

Should we bring anything?

We recommend bringing a water bottle. Sunblock or hand warmers can be useful depending on the weather.

For the ghost tours, you are welcome to bring your, "ghost finding equipment." Just remember that we are walking so you are responsible for carrying it.

Cash  is recommended as cards can slow down the group for tours that enter  certain locations where you might get a snack, a drink, or a souvenir.  You can also bring cash to tip your guide.

On the ghost tours, will we see actual ghosts?

As per our legal team, all of our tours are for, "entertainment purposes only," so we cannot guarantee seeing an apparition or being involved in a supernatural event.

That said, our guests often experience unexplained phenomena, unusual events, and spooky sightings that can easily be attributed to the paranormal.

Keep your phones and cameras ready because you never know when something supernatural might appear.

You should also ask your guide about his or her own personal experiences on our tours.

Are we allowed to take pictures or videos?

We love pictures they are encouraged so take as many as you would like.

We do not allow video while are guides are speaking. This is to protect our stories. Unlike some other some tour companies in the area, our stories are our own and our history is heavily researched and verified. The, "no video policy," is to protect our company's interests.

Are the tours safe for children?

Unless marked as, "adults only," our tours are great for children. Parental discretion is always advised. We are walking and little legs can, sometimes, get tired. Also, on the family ghost tour can be a little spooky, but they are meant to be a fun way to educate children on the area's history.

Please be advised that this tour may be loaded with, "Dad Jokes".

Can I bring my dog?

We love animals, but please make sure that you clean up after them and that they are, "dressed appropriately." for our weather. Animals must be tethered, friendly, and the owner assumes all responsibility for any damages that may result from the actions of their animal.

Animals are much more sensitive than humans and tours can bring out unusual behavior in animals.  animals.

Others may not be comfortable with animals and if we go into any buildings, you will have to remain outside with your pet.

How accurate is the history?

All of our information is heavily  researched and verified with folks at the Alamo, UTSA's Center for  Archeological Research, the San Antonio Archdiocese, the San Antonio  Scottish Rite, the Office of Historic Preservation, and many other sources.

Even our ghost tours are professionally investigated for determining paranormal authenticity.

We  strive to be at the forefront for historical correctness in the telling  of all histories (and paranormal events) on our tours.

What if I'm running late?

If you are running late, please let us know, as soon as possible.

Out of respect to the guests that are present, we must keep to the schedule.

Refunds will not be issued to people who are late and miss the tour. Please  give yourself plenty of time to arrive and find parking.

Are the tours wheelchair accessible?

The, "Spooky San Antonio," tour is the most accessible for those with disabilities, as it is the shortest distance of the tours.

While San Antonio does have ramps along most of the paths, the streets, downtown, are cobblestone or brick which can sometimes be a challenge.

Talk to your guide upon arrival so that he or she can advise you on ramp locations.

Should we tip our guides?

Tips are encouraged to show appreciation for the hard work that our  guides put in. Many guides spend their own time researching, conducting interviews, and honing their skills to give you  the best possible tours. Cash is always preferred, but many guides also accept CashApp, Venmo, PayPal and other forms of electronic  currency. It takes a lot more than one would expect to give this  one of a kind experience.

Spanish silver, gold Krugerrands, or historical artifacts are always favorites.

Do you offer student, military, group, or other discounts?

Students, educators, military, first responders, and Freemasons may receive $5 per person off of any of our tours.

We also offer group discounts for those booking with 10 or more guests.

Other,  "pop up," discounts may be offered throughout the year. Keep an eye on  our social media for these promotions.

Promotions cannot be combined.

What if I need to cancel?

To change or cancel a reservation, you must do so 48  hours in prior to the start of the tour. No cancellations or refunds will be accepted 48 hours  prior to  the departure time.

Does it have one?

Yes, Alamo has a basement, but it was not there when the Pee Wee movie was filmed. Book a tour, now, to find out other hidden history.
